Rowan Gate

It is always good to welcome Rowan Gate School to St Mary's.  The children enjoyed ringing the church bell and the traditional trip up the pulpit!

All Aboard the Sunday School

Well done to the Sunday School who made a Happiness Train.  And thank you to the faithful crew (engine driver, fireman, and guards!) who keep the Sunday School 'on track' week by week.

Miracle Maker

Some of our recently confirmed youngsters spent this afternoon at the Vicarage and watched the film Miracle Maker.

Strike!

Seventeen children from St Mary's Sunday School - with assorted parents, relations, and friends - spent a successful afternoon at the local bowling alley on Saturday.

Christmas Crafts

The Sunday School stayed behind after Mass today for a Christmas Crafts Party.

Children and Young People

St Mary's Sunday School meets each week during the Parish Mass and is supervised by enthusiastic and experienced leaders.  Summer picnics, Christmas parties, and coach outings to attractions like London Zoo, Legoland and the seaside are also part of our annual programme.  

We have a good relationship with the Shrine at Walsingham and take our youngsters there each year.  Children are prepared for Confirmation during their first year at secondary school.

St Mary's has a Child Protection Policy and all those who come into regular contact with our children and young people have received child protection training and hold a current CRB Clearance.
